Downloaded this on a whim. I was on a bit of a downloading spree a few days ago, so I forgot what this was or why I had downloaded it. The funny title was appealing and let me know I'd probably have a good time, but I didn't expect this to be as amazing as it was?!?!?!
The incredible variety of art is certainly a treat, but I have to say the story is by far my favorite part of this. I couldn't stop grinning goofily at the screen most of the time, and I laughed out loud and even gasped in shock here and there.
I'm actually not the biggest fan of tooth-rotting fluff, so at certain points I was thinking, wow, wouldn't this part be a good opportunity for some angst -- like, let me ache and fret a little bit before these gays have their happy ending! And lo and behold, there was angst too?!?!?! Yes, I cried and I became righteously angry at the world for giving my boys a hard time!!! This game really gave me everything I wanted!
Love the POV differences for the glimpses they offer into the characters' mindsets! I browsed through some of the comments/replies and saw the intent behind why Vale was acting the way he was. That was very enlightening to learn about. I'm somebody who can relate a lot to Lawrence, as I tend to act like him when I'm infatuated with someone -- obsessive and touch-starved and needy and just a little bit too much sometimes. I like how he can still be the way he is, but tempered and kept in line when he's going overboard, thanks to Vale. His heteronormative upbringing and family situation really made me feel for him and want the best for him, so the ending was very welcome.
