Did you really do FM synth music here?! This is seriously amazing. I am not the biggest fan of ANSI graphics and could never get into zzt or something like that, but you explored this here to its fullest. Movement feels very good, but the orientation is hindered a little bit by the crude graphics. The elemental weapons and armor battle system works fine and was very well implemented in this short time frame. Really fun game!

Yes! It really does use FM synth. I started creating a tool to do OPL3 audio after the limited jam in the Fall. Here is the result: https://chipcomposer.com/tracker
The framework I made for this has an API to interact with the library. Originally, I wanted to have dynamic audio (e.g. same combat melody but different instruments depending on the enemy) but I didn’t get that implemented in time for the jam.
But, I had a ton of fun composing all of the music in the tracker / composer I created.
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to play, rate, and comment. Much appreciated!
