"After reporting the hero dead, the kingdom celebrated."

The fool! They used the forbidden, the trademarked word (I mean beholder) !

I had a lot of fun. The game is very pleasant to control, I like that it uses turn-based combat and the RPG system is quite detailed. You know your game so I won't go into details ;) , but I like that there's quite some choices in the shop from the very start and all that's limiting you is your current money, the costs are appropriate by the way. Seeing the weapon (and torch/buckler) in the hands of the character is always a big plus but they also look notably good here and broadlier I like how consistent the visuals are. There are some cool extra details, like the spiders falling from the ceiling, I also like that opponents are affected by spikes. The floors are compact with multiple paths and closed doors to limit your progression which is better than long corridors (once again it's compact). Finally the difficulty was appropriate for a jam for me (I mean unless you're spending your money completely wrong on purpose then it's likely always easy so it could probably be a tiny bit harder but it's fine anyway).

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for the kind words! We also wanted it to be just a touch harder, but we weren't sure if that was the 5000 playtest sessions talking, or the true difficulty revealing itself. lol
