I really enjoyed this! I definitely wanted out of the loop, and it was fun doing my best to roll low, and building up the SIPs to fight against the OS. The OS rolls as a way of operationalising the effect of the 'system' keeping you in it was really clever - loved it! Couple of very minor bits of feedback if you want to come back to this: I think the new lines sometimes came too quickly (or I'm a slow reader - could be true!); I think there was one loop where I accidentally clicked the recharge button again, and the recharge roll happened again,which I assume is a bug, so if possible might be worth hiding/disabling the choice buttons until the next choice prompt. Anyway, again, I really like this, really creative, and a very cool implementation of the theme, and of your idea. Well done!

And yes your feedback make a lot of sense, the buttons don't really deactivate straight away so that's a bug for sure, still something I need to learn and understand about that part of the code. And yeah the speed of text is something I will be more aware of and hopefully implement some customisation for speed.
