I'm stuck in act 3 now tho. I used the syringe, but I can't figure out the next objective (apart from getting the lvl 3 card - which I can't find).
I also believe I found a softlock - if you discard the L2 card after passing through to where you get the swimsuit, there's no way to get back out.
Yes, that’s right. If you toss the keycard at that point you are stuck and need to reload. But anyone who throws a keycard away amidst such dangers must be tired of living anyway!
If you used the syringe on Suave Blanc and successfully answered his questions, he will give you the L3 keycard. If you fail the questions, he will slump back into his state and you will be unable to proceed, requiring a reload before the failed questioning.
Ah - welp, then now I don't know what to do. After he "died", I went around to try other things and saved the game a couple of times...
So I can't go back to the save before I failed. Anything to be done about it? Apart from resetting the game, which I don't really want to do...
I also think it could be a little clearer when the "reset times" occur, as I think I got confused by this a couple of times
I may not have allowed for a second syringe to be used in your case… let me take a look and see. Alternately, if playing the remastered version, you can restart from the beginning of Act Three. If you have this version, let me know. I can also create an updated version to get around this situation when stuck.
