Minor nitpick; the game page has the button controls for climbing and placing pitons mixed up.
EDIT: On a more serious note, despite placing some checkpoints, pressing Z to continue made me start over at the very beginning. Do I have to press Z to actually activate the checkpoints as well?
EDIT 2: Nope, checkpoints are completely unusable, even when I pressed Z on top of them.
