Good concept and interesting execution, the rotoscoped art is also pretty good and I love a bocchi the rock reference. The mechanics themselves however don't feel that great, I couldn't really find a way to get a box at a low price and the item inside it was always lower than the price I paid so I felt like it was not even worth it to buy boxes.

Some balance tweaks should make this more fun and engaging.

Thanks for your feedback! You're the first person to mention the reference lol. For the balancing I wanted the incentive for opening the boxes to be the items effects rather than their prices so I made every item sell for less than the boxes themselves. I apologize if I didn't make that clear, and I'll take this into consideration.
