Bigfoot has a Deathray is a game where the premise alone should get your creative juices flowing. Aliens crash on a mountain; they give BF a death ray to blow up said mountain. Feds try to cover it up "just to see what will happen," and you happen to be there and feel the compulsion to save the day.

The art style and map are captivating and super fun, albeit a bit hard to decipher at first. The game is short and to the point, making for a very fun disjointed one-shot with your friends.

There are some things that are unclear even after reading the game, like, for example, what are playbooks? I think it's the character sheets but it’s never made clear (or maybe i missed it). The descriptions of items were also a bit too suggested, and could benefit from being a bit clearer. I can imagine playing the game and trying to figure out if the (+ condition) has been met for a bit too long.

The characters in this game are quite stereotypical, as befits a Havoc game. However, these stereotypes seem to merely serve to highlight the clichés they represent without some sort of redeeming quality. I’m not sure I would want to play most of these characters to have fun.
