Yes in the current state there is no choices or minigames, it's just the game giving you orders basically. I'll work on it on chapter 4.
I'll see if I can fix the black screen on chapter 3 this week.
Regarding all the incositency about the UI and controls, Does your laptop have a touchscreen?
If so it might be only one bug that I can fix by (adding as you said) an option to disable mobile controls.
