Chapter 1 is from the beginning to when the landlord rings the door. Chapter 2 is from the door ringing until Dawn "cures" the landlord.
It was confusing at the beginning because I didn't add a transitions for the chapters, so you didn't know that you were changing chapter but you did.

To use the table just get close to it and press the interact button! (if you have the broken vibrator equipped it will use that instead)
