huh. this has never happened before! i just tried the troubleshoot you linked in the FAQ (i have AMD, RX 7600 XT), and tried launching again - still the same thing with the GPU launching as the GDI generic. would i likely have to reinstall my graphics drivers?

I'm not sure, sadly I don't have an AMD gpu to test with. Try looking up how to force a game to use your specific gpu, or update drivers if you don't find anything.

on my end I'll see if there's a way to have RahiTuber select the preferred GPU.
