Repeated click or hold is always bad ux for mouse+kb -- should be replaced by mouse hover or button/key toggle.

I'm not sure what you mean? Can there be problems? How I use/play it: I move around either only with the mouse or I move around first and then click where I want to click. But maybe I'm just not seeing it and I can fix it!

e.g. Keep clicking on castle to produce gold can be replaced by: A. hover on castle to produce gold; or B. click castle once to begin produce gold, click sawmill to switch to wood.

ah okay got it. A bit of different game design decision, but also interesting tbh!
