Good stuff! Reminded me of Shadow of Doubt with the board and the strings, and just like in that game it's really fun to come up with your own system for where to put things. The gameplay loop was also rock solid, simple and intuitive but with enough depth to keep you playing until the end. Only thing I'd change is add more music, really.
Also, there seems to be a little glitch where upgrades stay around invisibly after you apply them to a crook. The tooltip still shows up when you hover over them, and you can move them even though you can't see them.
