Really cool! Map texture could be improved, and the distant trees should be billboard for performance (many games use that, don't miss out on that!) and if you're gonna think about engine sounds make them in Fmod, it's really easy, I sound mod for Assetto Corsa and it's simple-ish, one tutorial and you got your own sound! But I recommend using multiple samples or steal engine sounds from the War Thunder sound repository (free to download on GitHub, it includes tank tracks low mid high speeds and real life recorded tank sounds with low mid high rpms), heres a sound mod demo of mine (pretty crappy I know but I'll work more on sound mods someday) https://imgur.com/gallery/astra-h-sound-mod-ac-EicoRD1

You're absolutely right about the map texture and distant trees. Billboard/Imposter trees for LOD is something I’ve been meaning to implement, especially as I move toward larger-scale environments. UE5 may have built-in solutions for that.

Also, thanks for the tip on FMOD and the War Thunder sound repository, that’s super helpful. I haven’t dived deep into audio yet, but your suggestion makes me want to start experimenting with it sooner :)

Checked out your sound mod as well. Honestly it’s a great start, especially if you're doing it alongside everything else. Would be cool to see how it evolves! Thanks again for sharing all this, really valuable insights!
