You're absolutely right about the map texture and distant trees. Billboard/Imposter trees for LOD is something I’ve been meaning to implement, especially as I move toward larger-scale environments. UE5 may have built-in solutions for that.
Also, thanks for the tip on FMOD and the War Thunder sound repository, that’s super helpful. I haven’t dived deep into audio yet, but your suggestion makes me want to start experimenting with it sooner :)
Checked out your sound mod as well. Honestly it’s a great start, especially if you're doing it alongside everything else. Would be cool to see how it evolves! Thanks again for sharing all this, really valuable insights!
