Did you complete the game? There's a few quests, combat, exploration, 2 different planets and 1 spaceship level. Since you mention it feels like a walking simulator I wonder if you maybe missed the actual content :)
I'm sorry if that sounded bad. I have completed the game: I really like the spaceship, and the water part is nice as well. However, I just don't like the tasks, they feel to be just a "filler" for the exploration part, that is much nicer.
