Very interesting take on the theme and a very good entry. Well done!
Some feedback from my end:
- the spacebar mini game would be better if the "green" part was randomly placed every time you started the game. Right now when you get the feel for it, its not really a challenge anymore. Also it could vary in size depending on the amount of land the player currently stole
- I'd also add a "right click" / "esc" cancel action so when you click on a tile you can opt out of it. Clicking on the "back" button is slightly tedious
