It's a little challenging to know where to start when you first load up the UI. Perhaps people who have played the game that you referenced would be able to know what to do first? A full tutorial system is cumbersome to be sure but even a few bullet points somewhere in the UI that tells you the first few steps would be handy.

We do have some tutorials when the game starts. You can also always click “How to Play” to refresh them. Try playing on a browser on a laptop, where the tutorial will be more focused, with shaded areas blocking off other parts of the screen while the tutorial is active.
