Hmm. Try going to the tavern in the evening and picking up a personal quest from Lillian. In one of the versions, the main quest wouldn't trigger until you completed her personal quest. Also, some portals may be available through characters' personal quests. Have you completed all of them?
I think I have at this point. None of the NPCs (Lillian included) have any quests for me. I only have one quest active and it's telling me to defeat the boss in the land of passion
