I absolutely love how inspired this is from Edmund Mcmillen's work! It feels like a mix of all my favorite difficult precision platformers. My only main gripe with this alpha is that the movement can feel a bit floaty and I feel like that leads to a lot of unfair deaths, especially when trying to pogo off of enemies. You either have to land on them from the side or right on top of them and I have a hard time knowing how high I will jump when trying to hold down the jump button for long enough to not die. I'd give this alpha a 7/10 and I can't wait to see how the finished game will look like!

Yes, we did in fact were inspired by his works, and we're glad you liked it! Speaking of movement, we think that as a player, you just need some time to get used to the physics, but we also agree with you about the enemies. That level, 1-14, still feels a bit off, and we’ll see what we can do about it in the next updates. Thanks for your review!

Oh my god I did it, i'm sorry but I do NOT have the patience to complete the dark world. The secret level is not worth it bro 😭

The few seconds of not being able to move after respawing also trips me up every time and has caused me tens of hundreds of deaths at this point
