How much energy was remaining in the battery when this happened? If it's less than enough to sell for 1 money, the game should give a losing screen.
I had 20. I tried selling twice (increments of 10) to see if maybe it was because i hadn't sold anything, but it didn't change the shop appearance.
The shop appearance can't change without leaving and re-loading unfortunately. I'll try to make it reload if you hit sell on that page. I have another bug to fix as well so there should be a new update coming soon.
