Another year, another peak Yuri experience from Team Anpim. With a story featuring relatable adult characters, I think the addition of a more mature story fits perfectly. The scenes here reflected the increased word count. Our time with the characters felt more important as the story came to its climax which managed to have me at the edge of my seat wanting to find out how things would come together. I badly want to give my thoughts on a few certain scenes, but they're best experienced for yourself.
These heavier themes might not be to everyone's taste, I definitely recommend taking the warnings seriously if they're not something you're comfortable with. I respect the direction they chose to go in and hope that they're not discouraged from exploring bolder types of scenarios in the future. My biggest disappointment with the ending is simply that it ended and it sounds like we're not getting another story anytime soon. The world can be cruel.
