Hey all!
I'm in the process of making of Survival Horror game with Rogue-lite/RPG elements. Right now I'm testing the Survival Horror aspect, and wanted to get some feedback. The gameplay should take between 5 - 10mins to complete. There is a short 5min feedback forum available in the game, but as a brief overview of what I'm looking for:
1) How are the controls?
2) How are the room transitions?
3) Were items easy to find?
4) Was the environment easy to navigate?
5) Are the camera angles well placed?
6) Was there enough inventory space?
7) What was the most enjoyable part for you.
8) What was the most frustrating?
9) What additional features would you like to see?
10) Bugs or general feedback.
What will the game be?
Souls to Take will combine the look and feel of the classic Resident Evil survival horror games with elements from RPGs and Rogue-likes. Your objective is to reach the top of the tower. Each level you are given an objective, as well as 3 perks to choose from. If your character dies, a new one will take their place until there are no characters left. When you are out of "lives" the game is over.
Because the best thing to do is playtest early and often, I'm trying to get some feedback early on the foundation, to make sure that the core is fun to play before adding in the RPG/Rogue-like elements.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you give it a chance <3
I've posted a new playtest for my game! I've made a lot of improvements and would love to know what y'all think. Thank you for taking the time to read this :)
