Hi Savvy_69 - This is a recent issue that is affecting many Renpy-based games. It appears to have been caused by a recent update to Windows and affects Renpy games using an older version of Renpy. I have since upgraded the version of Renpy that I use for all of my games, but have not had a chance to re-build them all. If you download the compressed version (LastHuman-0.9c-pc.zip (COMPRESSED)1.4 GB), It was built with the new Renpy and shoul not crash on animations. Unfortunately, some of your old save files may not load and you will need to start a new game. When I finish with this next Serenity release, I will be rebuilding/reuploading each of my games so that all of them will be on the new Renpy.
Hey, thanks for answering - same just happened on Serenity 1.6 as well.
While running game code:
File "game/scripts/week2.rpy", line 5064, in script
show ver11_jas03 with dissolve
Meh, MS sucks ^^ Guess I will try and advance the game over those spots on another machine or VM to get past these. Seems to give a memory error on some transition.
I haven't rebuilt Chapter 1 of Serenity yet. As I said, I'll probably do a new build of all of them upon this next release for Serenity Chapter 2. And yes, it is an 'out of memory' type error. Nothing changed in the game files outside of adding images, animations, sounds, and dialogue. The animations have been done using the same format for years so it isn't that either. MS is always breaking shit, just seems this time Renpy was directly affected.
