I don't know if just linking the game is ok, but since you are working in UE5, it isn't a surprise that you have a large game. I would definitely try to shrink down textures as much as you can (those typically take up a lot of space) and remove anything that you don't use or intend to use in the final game.

You should also wait for Bad Ideas to respond and maybe (if applicable) ask this in discord, if you have an account.

Thanks for the reply! It turns out that the main reason that the game was over 1 gb(I have a very good system for optimizing file size) was that I had a functional computer in the game that added 600mb to the 500mb game! So, I remove that and it is below file size cap now.

Ahh. That'l do it. I would be interested in see the said functional computer though. I don't do that much in UE5 (I work mostly in Unity), but that does seem pretty cool. Glad you got it fixed and I can't wait to see the final game.

You can actually find the working computer version on my account page, I have it a seperate thing from the main jam version. So if you want to see a preview plus cut content, you can on my account!
