Nice submission!

It’s eloquent, succinct, and deeply bleak—seriously, get Amatista some cognitive behavioral therapy! And the artwork was lovely even in its sparsest states.

Best of luck with the remaining chapters and rewrite in Unity! Hopefully that gives you the tools to make this more immersive and engaging. For example, I too noticed how my controller didn’t vibrate with the phone (or bumping into Paula). Or, in a more powerful engine, you might explore more robust environmental sound designs or scene transitions. Be sure to bring over and keep iterating on your number of accessibility settings, and please let us know when you have more progress to share!

It’s difficult to evaluate the story in its unfinished state. I have my own mental health challenges, and everyone experiences that differently. In the first two chapters, I felt trapped inside of somebody who hasn’t yet seen the beauty of life that exists outside of feeling invisible or bullied. I don’t identify with them anymore—it’s exhausting just being there again. Yet, perhaps this is going somewhere more uplifting for them?

Thank you so much for playing, for the incredibly thoughtful review, and especially for being so open about your own personal experience. It really means a lot to me.

To be completely honest with you, my main goal with this game is exactly what you experienced: to make people who are currently in that dark place feel seen and included, and to shed light on a reality that society often treats as a taboo. I am sorry if it was exhausting for you to revisit those feelings, but hearing that the writing felt authentic to someone who has been there is a huge compliment.

And to answer your question: yes! If you make the right choices and guide Amatista well, the story will definitely go to a much more uplifting and hopeful place. She will eventually learn to see the beauty of life outside of her bubble. (And yes, she desperately needs some therapy! hahaha).

Regarding the technical side, I am definitely writing down the idea of the controller vibrating when she bumps into Paula—that is brilliant! Moving to Unity is going to bring huge improvements to the immersion, environmental sound design, and transitions. It will take me more time to rebuild everything from scratch in a new engine, but it will be worth it. And don't worry, the accessibility settings will absolutely be carried over and expanded!

Thank you again for your time, your empathy, and your amazing feedback!
