it's difficult to give feedback to this game in the stage it's at as i can tell there's more work you want to put into it and make it fully playable, but i will try my best. the text in the intro is quite difficult to read and kinda hurts the eyes, it's also a bit too much text that a lot of players will not want to read. the text on the bulletin board is way more readable but still not perfect, as it also leaves the box its supposed to be displayed in. i really enjoy the concept of the game of finding stuff for NPCs. i think the movement speed is nice and smooth. the choice of N as the button for interacting is a bit strange, usually in this case, it would be space bar or Z. it is also a bit strange how the cat can walk over trees and water and everything, i understand that it is that way because you used assets for the background art, but still either having collisions for those (while making sure they are not annoying or obstructive for moving around and finding obejects) would make it feel better. the sprite art for all the animals and items is really cute, i love them, one cherry on top of it would be having animations, i understand it is difficult but even having simple animations for the NPCs idling and the cat walking would add a ton of polish to this game. keep it up! you are doing well!

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback :) Yeah I haven't been able to figure out how to enlarge the text in the intro yet or format it better but I'm hoping to fix it for part 2. I'm not sure why the billboard text sometimes fits in the box but sometimes spills out so I'll look into that as well. Ah, yes the N key for interacting is because I was just playing around with it initially when doing the coding and then got too far in and didn't have time to change it to something more reasonable lol. I'm also hoping to add some minor animation and to hopefully draw my own trees and other environmental stuff so it's easier to add appropriate collisions and depth for the next round! If I get real fancy, Purples might even change direction as she walks haha. thank you again for the feedback, it's one of the best perks of joining game jams to keep learning!
