This is neat, but it's a bit of an issue that progression to later sectors is RNG based. Also, max HP doesn't update until you take damage.
Thanks for trying it out! There should always be a level appropriate portal driver available in the shop if you're getting totally screwed by bad luck, but I'll check if it's bugging out. That max HP bug is annoying - will take a look!

It was a late addition in the dev process. I was getting frustrated with a string of bad luck too.
