I liked the simplicity of it. At first I didn't know about the shop and I thought this was lame but that was my fault. Need to read the instructions. After that I had fun leveling up. I think some small touches would help like animating orbs or maybe some faint background music. I can see how the theme can relate to the game play also. Cute little game.
