I would assume I missed something really obvious because I couldn't really understand what the basis of success and failure was. Other than that, the vibes and aesthetics of the game were on point.

Valid point that there could be abit more explaination about gameplay.
Your "computer" device up front has symbols that are good / evil. If any symbols light up as evil (broken heart, devil horns, X, X eyes, or inverted cross) you need to accept the doll in hell. Otherwise if all symbols are good (heart, circle, plus, smile, and cross) you need to reject them.
