I like the vibe of this song, gives me this like "exploration" vibe and conquering new areas. My critique is probably the balance of the sound, I feel like the main lead and bassoon? in the background are a bit too loud for the marimba chord progression in the background. Also the marimba too feels out of place with the other instruments, it's like the song is battling between trying to be a coastal beach vibe with the marimba's but also a fanfare with the main lead and bassoon melody. I think if you switched the marimba's with a different instrument and also sped up the marimba chord progression too with the new instrument it would fit the main vibe more. I'm terrible at construction critisim so hopefully that helps lol.

I get what you mean, but I listened to the song so much I got used to the steelpan :’D, thanks for sharing regardless, I absolutely agree about the mixing

Listen, this is why I hate giving "any" kind of "advice" of how to improve someones song, because i think any song someone makes is an expression of themsleves, which makes it unique, but I think what I said offended you enough to go and accuse my song of breaking the rules for some reason. I'm sorry for offending you, my song is an original and I don't think I'm going to giving constructive critism to anyone else who submits a song because dang, I don't want to be a villian ;O;

You’re taking this too seriously, no. I am not offended at all and I seriously thought it was a remake of the reference material you shared, they sound very similar to me. I do agree about everyone expressing themselves in their own ways, but there are limits to that - the steelpan does feel out of place and I’ve been thinking of another sound to replace it with, perhaps another synth with a similar timbre to it. Take a chill pill, I ain’t got a torch and a pitchfork pointed at you :-)
