I got stuck when the game asked me to go east at the start of the game. I went east, and I was never able to go anywhere else after that, the game kept sending me into the 'west' room.
Oh!! Did you pick up any coins? If so, that might have been the cause of why you kept getting sent back, heck!
Yep, I did. Apparently it made the eldritch horror laugh but I didn't notice any reason as to why that would softock me.
