For those using MV...

Ever wonder why, when you create a new project in MV and look at the RTP BGM, you see Theme1, Theme2, and Theme6? Where are 3-5?

Well, to reduce bloat in new projects, not all of the base resources are copied in. (Saving around 500MB!)

To find these and some other resources, on Windows navigate to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/RPG Maker MV/dlc/BaseResource

And there's Theme3, Theme4, and Theme5, along with a bunch of other tracks and images! Just copy those folders into your project and there you go!

(Just for clarification, are these allowed for this jam? They ARE RTP, in the same style and everything, and everyone has them. Just gotta copy them in, unlike VX Ace that includes everything by default.)

Yes. Even the RMK2000 BGM within the Base resource is okay to use. As long as it's inside the Base Resources.

Thanks for clearing that up. To be honest I wish this started a bit earlier, I have Thursday off and am excited to start! But I'll keep things legit for our humble crowd of eight and start when the jam starts. It's been fun brainstorming over the last few days.

Thank you so much for joining the game jam! I'm sure it'll be exciting seeing all your ideas.

I'm also very happy that you enjoyed the process doing this jam. ☺️ Thanks for the support.

That post's life-saving. I always thought MV just scammed me out of additional themes all this time.

Additional question but are the graphics in "Base Ressources" also allowed?

Yes. Even the Sci-Fi Files for MV/MZ, you can include them. ☺️
