There's a lot of creativity in this. The shifting stats and weird progression moments fit the fever-dream idea really well. It feels like you were experimenting and having fun with it. And the pixel art looks pretty good.
For doing everything yourself for the first time, you should be proud of this. Getting something playable out the door is already an accomplishment. You're off to a good start.
