Oh my gosh this was great. The atmosphere was so tense with all the whispering around me and the characters popping up, and I love the 2.5D art style. The trees folding up around me was a great effect, and the stairs were a really cool surprise as well when I figured them out.
I did get VERY lost for a bit (full disclosure I was panicking and I'm sure I was doing things strangely and out of order). I think it may have frozen on me at the end (I had gotten the page on the second level last and was walking out of the doorway that had previously been blocked), but that may have been because I was flailing around like scared toddler and went very off-book.
Good job, and congratulations on a great jam! I'm gonna sleep with the lights on.

If you panicked and not sure you did it right, then we did our job well lol When you went out the back door and froze, it should've triggered the winning screen. So you didn't freeze and miss anything else. But thanks for the heads up! now to figure out why it froze.......
