Amazing! I really have to applaud how smooth of an experience this was, especially for a game jam game. I had a bug-free playthrough and really enjoyed the classic JRPG vibes of the world and story. Quite dark and very strange places indeed!
The art is really amazing, I really loved the simplicity of the pixel art animations and backgrounds that still felt so stylized. The hand drawn 2D sprites are also really beautiful and the character designs are so spooky and amazing. The story and setting are super fitting for the "strange places" theme and felt like a fresh take on a classic perilous place.
The minigames are challenging without getting the player too stuck in one place for too long, which I appreciate. I struggled the most with the first puzzles, but the hint is quite subtle and leads you along a good path ;) I am sure there are other hidden secrets I didn't catch.
The sound design and music are also very beautiful. Your programmer did a great job with the visual motion design, as well.
Overall, a super nice and polished game that I genuinely enjoyed playing and will recommend to my friends. I could totally see this being played by a classic Let's Play YouTuber lol.
