I really like the idea of dropping it down to 2 worlds. This would simplify things and allow us to refine some puzzles! Great idea.
The dash went through a few iterations. It started as pure velocity and time based. This was hard to tune. In the end, I ended up going with a tween against the players velocity and it is extremely easy to tweak to exactly what you want. This on top of the ghost fade makes it so crisp.
