I'm in love with this game... or was... until... you know what you did....

Appreciate the kind words! Thanks for swinging by

Thanks so much!

Such a simple mechanic to implement, hard to make look good and also make assets for... 3x all your assets :rip: Thanks for swinging by!

But did you die enough? Thanks for coming by. I do love the dash :)

I really like the idea of dropping it down to 2 worlds. This would simplify things and allow us to refine some puzzles! Great idea.
The dash went through a few iterations. It started as pure velocity and time based. This was hard to tune. In the end, I ended up going with a tween against the players velocity and it is extremely easy to tweak to exactly what you want. This on top of the ghost fade makes it so crisp. Thanks for coming by.
One more thing, we've fixed the spawn kill bug. Huzzah! Thanks for reporting.

Thanks so much. Always difficult coming up with a game concept and fit to a theme in time and then also make a game. This was a very fun challenge.

Those arms came in in the last couple of hours of the jam and I love them.

Thanks so much for swinging by!

Yea, the directions on the page were for keyboard and controller. In game it switches based on your last input.

< and > were left in on purpose to allow players to skip things they get stuck on to explore more of the levels since we have 7. It would not be a final game kind of thing.
Items is a great idea. Would give the user another positive dopamine. Thanks for swinging by!

The art style, the story both fantastic and compelling!

Please do check it out with controller! I personally prefer this way of playing. I had a super hard time coming up with decent keyboard shortcuts. I feel like these games tend to be hard on keyboard. If we were to continue, I'd certainly add key mapping.

I think the character and its animations are at the top of my list on this games visuals. Thanks so much for trying out our game!

Thanks for swinging by and trying it out! Glad you enjoyed yourself!

Funny you did this. Unmagical who was the other half of programming and level design did exactly this for more time than I think he'd like to admit. I think he may have secretly adjusted some of the levels to make it work ;)

Controller is def something I focused on for this. I was surprised I haven't ran into many other games with controller support so far in the jam. The platformer controller ended up ballooning to over 400 lines of code and by the end of the jam I was shoving things in places they shouldn't be.
Greatly appreciate your comments. "Game game" absolutely made me smile! Thanks for stopping by.

I think my favorite thing about working on this game with Unmagical was learning his way of doing art. Everything except for the character was created in blender in 3d space and rendered into a pixelated 2d version. This was the first time we've worked together on a game and it was a blast!

I do love a good dash... I wanted to get more "juice" into the controller... it was already over 400 lines lol. I need to take some time now to break it out into some modules for future games.

Thanks for playing! I saw the errors, will try to get to them. I think some of the scenes didn't update their state when I added hazards to the platforms... yay! Seriously appreciate you swinging by

Tough game, got stuck at the two golden blocks with the overhang.

Floating to ground pound is fun. VO makes it worth it :)

Robed people unite! Love the character, kinda reminds me of ours :) The theme is spot on.
The town kept talking about "eyes" and how they were "strange" I don't understand what these "eyes" they talk about were. Great job!

First of all... I appreciate the speaking role in your game... QUACK! Though I am a bit disappointed in the apparent lack of world for us ducks to hang out on.
This game was beautiful, it was an experience, the music is *chefs kiss* I'm only sad that I explored all the planets as far as I can tell. There were so many, how'd you get so many in so quickly? Awesome job

It ended entirely too soon. The puzzles were so intuitive, I just ran through them and got what I earned! Thank you so much for this beautiful little experience, and you did it all alone, fantastic job! I don't have any feedback other than... I want more levels and I got a unity crash in full screen on one of the levels

Really enjoyable game. The music was a vibe and I enjoyed it. I think if the tutorial had made it to be, it would have helped a lot to get into the game. Great job!

Cute game. Some instructions might make it a little easier to get into.

Wow wow wow! I loved becoming the platforms and puzzling out the way I went before. The run history feature is really cool to be turned into an actual secondary mechanic in a game. Great ideas, super unique, loved it and want more levels! What other mechanics could work with this?

What a weird dream, there were ears and noses, fingers and toeses.... I'm concerned, have you talked to someone recently?
That certainly was strange, and the swinging mechanic was a lot of fun once I got used to it in the second level. Power ups were super helpful. Love it

Had more fun than I ever expected. By 2am I had to step away to play others but this was an absolute blast. I didn't know overlapping charts could be so interesting.

I spent the first few days on platform controller, but you could honestly spend months on it and find tweaks. I appreciate the feedback and positivity! Was so much fun making this

Great feedback, will have to consider how to allow this with the vine climbing mechanic, but agree there are some QOL we could add :) Thanks for the feedback!

Given a big enough hammer, anything is a nail, including many houses and other structures. I like the concept, wish movement was a bit faster

Unrealistic, ram prices completely too cheap imho for the current market.

This fun action paced looter non shooter was a blast to play. Ended up making it through to the last level, took me a few tried to get past #3. Thanks for the game!

MOM!!!! The ants are attacking! Fun concept. At first I thought it was too easy, and then the flying ants came to eat my face. Great unique concept.

Absolute joy of a puzzle game! Finished it and want more. First few puzzles were a bit confusing until the mechanic just clicked and I was all in. None of the levels were necessarily hard. Many of them have just a few nodes leaving ease of brute force, but some of the solutions were certainly unique.

Any thoughts on future mechanics you might add to the puzzle to manipulate colors?

Love the voice acting of course..
Here's what I did...
I shroomed, Zoltar shroomed, Zoltar hungry, we snacked, swim swim (why you do this???) got lost in the forest.

Overall I loved the concept, the art, the theme and atmosphere. Just a great fun little experience.

The blur was a bit intense and gave me a headache.
Evil mom could see me through wall, what the heck mom? or whoever you are. That forest was rough, I dunno how I guessed my way out.

Overall awesome experience and very on theme!

Love the art style.  I think my favorite is the neon night theme and its music. I am a sucker for cyberpunk and all things neon :)
Cutscene is cute and the art style is consistent throughout!
The concept was so good, we stole it from you lol!

Some settings would help with sound levels. Found a typo in cutscene with "forest"
Checkpoints would be awesome, or a way to move faster. I at first forgot to check the description so I did not know there was a dimension switch at first. I came back to play a second time to write some more comments and had to watch the cutscene. It's cute, but a way to skip would be nice :)

Thanks for the update, I've bumped the music volume way up and it should work. I hope hah. Also sad I couldn't get rumble to work in web.

Lemme go check out your game!

agh, is the music not working for you? It has 3 songs. One for each world/phase

Thanks so much! Hope you enjoyed

It was there from the beginning and the core idea for the game... Even the original black and white had the physics words.
