Ah! I did use poor wording. After getting four or five passives, it only gives weapons and their upgrades as an option and after those are level 3 it gives the food/gold/magnet.
It was with all of the characters. I just like Odin way more than the other two.
Just played a bit of v3 as Sif. Hit three passives and that was it. Odin's eye also shot from off screen and perhaps from a fixed place, as I didn't see it fire after a short time.
