I was thinking of this option eventually but probably not in the first version. I want to have a simple system out and then build on top of it. So I try to keep my scope to the functionally important things so I don't stretch myself too thin from the start.

understandable! in that case i'd want turn-based before simultaneous attacks, because i feel like that's easier to program
