I already understand the idea behind it, but could you give me some pointers on how to structure/format the commands for the override step? There is a lot of different things in this game’s files to look at and it being different on an actual PC vs other PC simulations (I wouldn’t call myself a computer expert by any means) out there makes it a bit too overwhelming and confusing just starting out. I honestly wouldn’t be asking if I wasn’t curious about the game’s narrative.

Btw, some more tags besides “No AI” couldn’t hurt this page. The game released 2 days ago now and it already is doing the facade thing too well for them to affect anything negatively on the spoilers front.

Oh and, I hope this isn’t coming across the wrong way. As I actually did like Flash From the Past and the general aesthetic and mood of R.U.I. and just chose not to comment until now. I say this because in the past people got on my case about being “too critical” of a commenter.

Glad you like my games! As for the override step (i assume you mean the color puzzle), you need to find a file that contains a QR code, scan it and you should find a page. After that you need to find a password for said page whichI hope won't be too hard.

Ah, okay. Thank you for clarifying the order. I did in fact try to scan the QR code, but the QR code reader was unable to detect it. Possibly because the QR code is too small and pixelated on that page. I’ll see if I can enlarge the contents and try again.

You can scale the windows to make the images you see bigger :)

Gotcha.

Actually the password was one of the first things I figured out on my own. The difficult part is understanding how to operate the cmd. It is a huge guessing game for me at this point, because there are so many ways to interpret the hints when you’re not the developer. I did manage to progress though in terms of the override thanks to you pointing out that resizing feature existing. Now, it’s just the cmd that has me stumped. Searching for the target_identifier for instance is surprisingly tough because my head jumps to all sorts of conclusions such as numerical ids being hidden somewhere on the booting up screen, potential recipient/sender names in the existing documents and even file path variations due to the cmd starting with one.

Yeah no i get it, I did make those puzzles incredibly hard and cofusing and if im being honest the puzzle design in my game is quiet mediocare. I knew of those issues but i didn't have time to fix them, the game was made in 5 days instead of 7. The target identifier is her name. Cheers!
