Very good twist for a match 3 game. I would say it's a bit too hard but I am not a puzzle games enjoyer so maybe I am just lazy to think about it... Anyway, nice visuals, good music, simple and fun. Good job!
I appreciate your effort in creating a match-3 game with new, original elements. I think the most important distinguishing feature is the cat's movement. Unfortunately, this feature will become meaningless if the game is changed.
Let me explain. It's better for the player to be able to play on the entire board. This means the cat can automatically pave the way to the finish line at the end.
Honestly, I don't think players will enjoy this kind of strategic match-3 game. All these rules, with only sleeping cats active, greatly limit the gameplay. I'd even say it kills all the fun.
Holding the movement button resulted in distorted sound.
The board with the tiles and the cat are cute. I recommend redoing the rest of the graphics. Also, note the cat's tail.
The button next to the text overlaps the text. The text doesn't fit on the panel.
I hope you can make an interactive tutorial for the full version.
Nice game really loved the integrations of cats with your idea. Few bugs I found, you can skip lvl 3 entirely by falling down from the side. In lvl 9 I found out that you can swap two sleeping cats no matter how far apart they were, but it wasn't working on lvl 10. Also it would be better if camera can look further especially in the downward direction. I think there are only 10 lvls because next button wasn't working after that.
Good luck for improving the game further and your game dev journey. Good Job!
Thank you so much for playing and for the detailed feedback! I’m really glad you liked the idea and the way the cats are integrated into the gameplay.
Thanks a lot for pointing out the bugs — skipping level 3, the sleeping cats swap issue in levels 9 and 10, and the camera limits are all very helpful notes. I’ll definitely look into fixing these and improving the camera view, especially downward.
And yes, the game currently has 10 levels, so the next button issue you noticed is related to that and will be handled as well.
I really appreciate your support and kind words. Thanks again, and good luck to you too! 🙏🐱
Fun Game. I was going through level 2 thinking "Wow! This level is way easier than the first one!". Then I realized that the whole floor was the puzzle. lol Thanks for the game!
The game has a lovely visual style, but the large block of text in the tutorial was a bit overwhelming. I tried to figure out how to play on my own, but unfortunately, I couldn't quite get the hang of it
Thank you so much for the kind words about the visual style.
I completely understand your point about the tutorial — the large amount of text can feel overwhelming at first, and this is something I’m planning to improve in future updates.
How to play
You play by matching 3 or more cats, just like Candy Crush, to clear paths.
Some cats are awake and blocking the way, so you must feed them biscuits to make them fall asleep.
You can feed cats by pressing the F key or by clicking the biscuit icon at the top-right of the screen.
Sleeping cats can be moved and matched, allowing you to rearrange them and dig a path forward for the main cat to move using WASD.
To win the level, you must guide the kitten to her home, following the direction shown by the compass.
I hope you’ll give the game another try while following these instructions, as they help reveal the core mechanics and intended gameplay experience.
