Arrghh..mmmmmmm...I guess it isn't unreasonable to do it now. The "photocopied college reading pack" aesthetic was important but enough time has gone by that I guess I can offer both. That seems fair.
Mind if I ask why spreads are an issue? The drawing area size and image pairings are important, I don't want folks printing out each page at 8.5x11 and working on them one by one. On the other hand, if someone was wanting to remake a book the spreads would be a hassle...
