I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know I sure did. There are a couple different ways to make the story take other routes. There is what you would call a bad ending, which occurs when you are asked if you agree to submit yourself to the benevolent will of the parents. If you say no to this (and I would advise making a save at this spot) then later on after the fight between Cato and Amicus, something different happens.
The story is also slightly altered depending on your answer to three other questions in the game. Picking more A answers will lead to a certain scene in the late game playing out one way, and picking more B answers will lead to it playing the other way. These aren't the exact words to the questions, but I got this from MurlocMazta here on this page.

Should Amicus talk more with Neferu (Yes A / No B)
