Well, you're a lot further than me. PC version closes every time Celica says "Wow! This place is lovely!" in the freaking intro!!!
I think the PC version is super bugged.
This behavior most likely indicates a violation of the simple rules for operating games using the Ren'Py engine.
For example, this can happen if a player, instead of unpacking the game into a new folder, replaces files from the old version, thereby creating a mixture of engine files from different versions. In this case, after the first scenario completes (and sometimes even earlier), an error occurs due to variable address confusion.
There's a book for new players in the Agranor library. It states that before upgrading to a newer version, you should create a save file from the moment Celica wakes up in the morning. Otherwise, there may be problems with the automatic save import.
As a last resort, there's an automatic save created at the beginning of each game day; information about this is also available in the library.
When upgrading from one version to another (Linux, Windows, and sometimes Android), there's no need to copy your saves manually. This is because Ren'Py creates a hidden folder for your saves, and the new copy of the game will see it when it launches.
1. Make sure the game was downloaded from this page.
2. Make sure the game save hasn't been modified by third-party services or a newer version of the game.
3. Make sure the game is running on a device that meets the minimum system requirements listed on the game engine's official website.
4. Make sure you're not using third-party software, such as forced translation tools that physically alter the game's memory.
5. Make sure the issues occur in your language and persist after switching to English.
Some languages may cause issues with some levels if the translator heavily relied on generative AI without proofreading.
If the game was downloaded from this page, hasn't been modified by third-party tools, and is running on hardware that meets the system requirements, it will run smoothly.
1: IT WAS.
2: what am I? some computer tech?
3: Never had a problem before. I run it on the 30 limit.
4: again?! AM I A COMPUTER TECH?! (Answer, No)
5: it is in English.
It is "Running smoothly", IT JUST CRASHES WHEN IT REACHES THAT POINT!!!
THAT IS CALLED A GAME BUG!!!
AND YOU'RE NOT EVEN THE GAME DEV BTW!!!
