No in fact used a very different method which tbh I thought wouldn't work - Just embedded a html page and with the embed tag referred to that html page. This is more sophisticated than that as you can control it more and though how it preloads is not something I have had a chance to stresstest much I think it does preload a lot of the 3D assets which can help avoid loading issues
