For clarification, I didn't realize there were multiple potions you had to make. So I made the amber potion, poured it on the flower from behind, queue screaming plant and duplicate boss fight with Fii's evil twin.
Ah I see. Thanks for the clarification. I will see to look over that quest and fix that oversight.
