100% agree this version is pretty opaque with the scoring, and have been working on general clarity over the last week.
Thanks for the reference to Gambonanza too. I did find this game a few weeks ago and joined the open playtest. It's great! Fortunately I feel we have different takes even when drawing from the same inspiration (scoring vs surviving) but yes similar for sure. :)
