One-Month Marathon Game Jam

This jam follows our 72-hour New Year Jam (January 2-5). Continue the project you started there, pick up something you've been working on, or start fresh.

Schedule

  • Start Date: January 9, 2026
  • End Date: February 9, 2026

A month-long jam to keep the momentum going. Make progress on your projects, finish your game, and share it with the community.

Theme

There is no theme! Just work on your game.

Rules

  • Solo Developers and teams allowed: This community is typically for solo devs, however we've decided to allow teams.
    • To keep things fair for solo participants, only solo-developed games will be eligible for the Hall of Fame, cash prizes, and featured on the SoloDev Itch page.
  • Make sure you legally own any assets you're using.
  • This jam is open to everyone, regardless of skill and experience!
  • NSFW games not allowed.

Cash Prizes

1st Place: $125 via PayPal. Enough for a Steam page?

2nd Place: $50 via PayPal

3rd Place: $25 via PayPal

Cash prize winners are selected by judges, not community voting. Cash prize finalists selected from top 15-25 community-voted games.

Eligibility:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Solo-developed games only (no team entries).
  • Game must have been started during this jam or during SoloDevelopment Jam #10.
  • Prize paid within 30 days of results.

Other Prizes

  • Progress – How much progress did you make during the jam?

About the One-Month Marathon Jam

The one-month marathon game jam gives developers a whole month to create their game. It offers flexibility while maintaining a clear deadline to keep you motivated.

This jam is ideal for solo developers or small teams. The extended timeframe lets you work at your own pace, take breaks when needed, and focus on creating a polished and complete project.
