I played through chapter 1 again to play the fresh chapter 2. At the end of chapter 1 for a second time, the game is still good. Art and the vibe really make for a good, old-school experience.
Final dungeon of chapter 1 feels like it could be an issue. Stuck in the dungeon. No way out. Does the autosave save before you get to the dungeon? If not, that would be great to have the potential to get back.
Looks like this time it took me 3 hours to get through chapter 1, but I may have walked away for a bit with the game paused.

You get locked into the final portion of chapter 1 the moment you have the quest item from Riverhead, it's intended for cinematic effect.
The priest at the beginning of that dungeon will fully heal the party indefinitely so you can grind a level or two if still needed. Wanted to keep it a tense moment, but it's actually pretty safe. The boss is definitely a level/skill check though, hence the ez grinding opportunity. Perhaps I can add a vendor for potions/coffees so that recovery items are more accessible? Glad you still enjoyed it! I still intend to get back to this project; life and work have been a lot lately, but I still think about working on this all the time lol
Tense moments are good, but one could remain under-leveled.
In chapter 2, the forest, in a battle. I got a crash. Very odd. I've faced these enemies and this battle countless times. Some kind of font crash?

Maybe what does it is going to third character's skill, backing out. Going to attack, pick target and then it happens.
